Frequently Asked Questions

A gentle space for your questions, answered with care

Grief touches every life in different ways. It is a natural response to loss—whether through the death of a loved one, the loss of a beloved pet, a relationship, or a life transition.
Grief is not something to fix or move past. It is something to tend to, in your own time and in your own way.

Yes. Grief can feel unpredictable and overwhelming. You may experience sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, relief, or even moments of peace. All of these are valid.

Grief does not follow a timeline. It changes shape over time, and with support, many people find ways to carry their loss while continuing to live with meaning.

Prolonged grief may be considered when, at least 12 months after a loss (6 months for children), a person continues to experience strong longing or preoccupation with the person who died.

Anticipatory grief arises before a loss occurs—often when someone you love is living with serious illness, aging, or decline.

Grief coaching offers compassionate support and guidance. Counselling is clinical and provided by licensed mental health professionals.

Yes. The loss of a beloved pet can be deeply painful and is often misunderstood. This space honours that bond and the grief that follows.

You are not meant to carry overwhelming grief alone. If your grief feels too heavy, you will be gently guided toward appropriate professional resources.

If you are looking for a compassionate, non-judgmental, gentle, supportive space—this may be a place where you feel at home.

Many people experience connection, understanding, gentle tools, and moments of steadiness alongside loss.

This space supports grief related to the death of a loved one or a beloved pet. Other types of loss may be referred to specialized counsellors.
